A home away from home

Our nursery has the perfect ambience to make your little one feel at home. We understand that as a parent it is hard for you to part with your child especially when you have to entrust their responsibility to someone else. With the help of our understanding staff at Little Impressions Day Nursery, we will make sure that your child has a smooth transition. If you register your child at Little Impressions Day Nursery, a 2 week settling period is arranged, prior to the start date, making your transition from home to nursery much easier for you and your child.

The Ofsted report stated: “The staff and leaders put children at the centre of everything they do. The strong ethos is evident throughout the nursery. Children are emotionally secure and confident in the welcoming, nurturing environment provided by staff.”

Baby Room - Daisies

Our 'Daisies' room is run by Jess with Sarah, Melissa, Libby and Melissa alongside her.

For us, every day in Daisies is another part of your child's journey and development. We choose the activities that would meet the needs and the interests of your child. We make sure that the activities are stimulating and appropriate for their age.

In Daisies, we follow a certain routine that helps your child to be familiar with the surroundings and feel at home as well. Your child's day will be infused with learning, social interaction, lots of fun, love and care. Our sensory play is a favourite amongst the children. Whether it is playing in the water, gloop, spaghetti or even exploring the sensory area, they absolutely love it.

Every day in Daisies is filled with new opportunities, activities and experiences which are devised for the children to expand their imagination. All experiences are accessible for all children's and help to promote their early stages of development. We are a happy, nurturing room and have lots of fun whilst we learn.

Our staff at Daisies will work alongside you to ensure that your child's transition from home to the nursery is as easy as possible and will pay special attention to incorporating their needs, routines and preferences. The staff will help your child settle and familiarise themselves with the setting.

Activities promoting growth

We plan the day's activities so that it reflects the individual stages of development every child has reached. The activities include songs and nursery rhymes, stories, heuristic play, construction toys, activity gyms, moving toys. For all babies, we have painting, fun activities with water, sand, play-dough and corn flour.

With us, your child will take home a new experience every day. The sand, water, collages, building, baking, puzzles and the home corner are just a few of the activities your child will enjoy.

We can also accommodate your requests with respect to the baby's weaning and sleep routines.

In addition to this, we have the facility of freshly prepared foods which are blended and chopped depending on your baby’s needs. All we ask you to provide is your baby’s milk, sterilized bottles, nappies, and wipes.

Poppies Room

Aaliyah is the room leader in Poppies, Sophie, Evie, Elly and Layla work alongside Aaliyah.

In Poppies independence is encouraged through routine and we feel it is important for the children to experience new adventures. We encourage the children to express themselves in every way possible.

The children are aged from 18 months to 24 months at the moment.

Poppies staff encourage and support children to build strong and positive relationships both with staff and peers.

Preparing them for the next stage

In Poppies we plan a range of activities for the children on a daily basis to support each area of development in the EYFS, this also helps support independence and decision making.

We enjoy phase 1 of phonics, early math's including, shape, colour and number activities. We have a brief circle time to encourage their listening skills.

Our goal is to prepare each individual child for the next room where they continue to enhance their skills further.
